Daggers boss ends search for new left-back
Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still believes Damien McCrory will bring 'drive and ambition' after paying Plymouth an undisclosed five-figure fee for the defender.
The 19-year-old left-back has played in League Two during loan spells with Port Vale last season and Grimsby this campaign and has also represented Republic of Ireland at Under-18 and U19 level.
McCrory has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal as a permanent replacement for Scott Griffiths, who joined Peterborough earlier in the season.
Still said: "I've seen quite a bit of Damien during his loan spells, he's a young ambitious player which fits into our normal criteria and I'm pleased for him to be bringing his drive and ambition.
"We identified a number of players to play left-back that we were interested in and Damien was the first choice.
"Since Scott left we've brought in loan players and all those players did their best for Dagenham & Redbridge but we always wanted to bring in our own player."
