Port Vale are to extend Lewis Haldane's loan for a final month, but Damien McCrory has returned to Plymouth.

Adams decides to let McCrory head back to Home Park

Port Vale have agreed to extend Lewis Haldane's loan for a third and final month, but have allowed Damien McCrory to return to Plymouth Argyle. Haldane has scored once in 12 appearances for Vale since the Bristol Rovers forward joined the League Two club before the close of the summer transfer window. He is now staying at Vale Park for a third month and manager Micky Adams believes Haldane still has more to offer. Adams said: "Lewis has got the ingredient that can hurt teams at this level, which is real pace. "I still think he can get better and I still think he needs to be a little bit more selfish, but he's always a threat and we're happy with him." Meanwhile, Adams has opted not to keep Plymouth left-back McCrory for a third month after the youngster made five appearances for the club.
