Bristol Rovers director of football Lennie Lawrence says the club are hoping to make further signings.

Lawrence happy with arrival of Blizzard

Bristol Rovers director of football Lennie Lawrence has confirmed the club are hoping to make further signings before the start of the season. The League One club have added Carl Regan and Dominic Blizzard to the squad over the summer, but are not settling for just two new arrivals. However, Lawrence admits players may have to leave the Memorial Stadium before manager Paul Trollope is able to strengthen his squad further. "The process is ongoing," Lawrence told the club's official website. "I think we would like to move one or two players on first, because it hasn't been cheap, but we are still looking. I would like two more in, but will probably have to shift one or two to achieve that. "Nevertheless, we are reasonably relaxed. We have brought Dominic in and we have Carl in. They were two of our main pre-season targets and I'm reasonably confident that we will add one or two more before the start of the season." Lawrence also revealed the club's happiness at securing a deal for Blizzard, who has joined Rovers on a free transfer from Stockport County. He added: "He was on a Bosman and attracted a great deal of interest and I know that he spoke to a lot of clubs, including one or two in the Championship. "It's a key time in his career and, after doing very well at Stockport, it was an important move for him and we expected him to take his time in deciding which club to join."
