Bristol Rovers defender Danny Coles has ended speculation over his future by signing a new deal at the club. Coles has been the subject of interest from Plymouth with Bristol Rovers rejecting two offers from Argyle for the defender. Rovers have moved to secure Coles' long-term future with the player inking a two-year contract extension to keep him at the Memorial Stadium until 2012. "We are delighted to announce that Danny Coles has signed a two-year extension to his conract," Rovers director of football Lennie Lawrence told the club's official website. "This has been in response to the numerous bids from Plymouth - all of which have been rejected by the club. "Everyone here at Bristol Rovers is extremely pleased to have secured Danny's services for the long term."
