Cole and Guy join Blue Square Premier side on loan

Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Jake Cole has joined Oxford on a three-month loan deal, while Colchester striker Jamie Guy has agreed a season-long move to the Blue Square Premier side. 22-year-old Cole was second-choice at Loftus Road last season behind Lee Camp, and Radek Cerny has since arrived to challenge for the number one jersey. QPR have now allowed Cole to link up with Oxford for some more regular football. "At Jake's age he needs to be playing competitive matches," said QPR boss Iain Dowie. Cole will make his Oxford debut in a friendly against Brackley on Saturday and will be hoping to figure in pre-season matches against Manchester United and Portsmouth. Guy also found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Colchester last season and Oxford manager Darren Patterson is happy to have brought him in. "Jamie is a player I have admired for a long time," Patterson told the club's official website.
