Parkin: Scunthorpe switch

Scunthorpe have acquired Cardiff striker Jon Parkin on a one-month loan deal and signed Robbie Gibbons on a permanent contract.

Striker Parkin, 30, has appeared 15 times for the Bluebirds and has spent time on loan with Doncaster and Huddersfield this season.

Midfielder Gibbons has impressed during a three-week trial period and has penned an 18-month contract with the Iron.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international went to FIFA to terminate his contract with Cypriot side Alki Larnaca following a dispute over unpaid wages.
