Adeyemi aims for Latics stay

Norwich midfielder Tom Adeyemi is hoping to extend his stay with Oldham.

Adeyemi's initial five-month loan at Boundary Park was extended for a month in January. Next Monday's Johnstone' Paint Trophy Northern Area final second leg encounter with Chesterfield is due to be the 20-year-old's last under Paul Dickov's management, but he hopes an agreement can be reached to spend further time with Latics. "I'm really enjoying my time here," Adeyemi told BBC Radio Manchester. "As it stands my loan is due to finish after the Chesterfield game. "I'm really enjoying myself and I'm hopeful a deal can be done to keep me here for longer." On the prospect of a permanent move to the north west, he added: "I guess I would have to see what is put on the table first. Also I'd have to speak to Norwich to see if I'm in their plans for the future and I think that would sort of determine that decision."
