Mackay keen on Seagulls winger

Sky Sports understands Cardiff City have made a bid for Brighton winger Craig Noone. Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is keen to bring in a new wide-man during this month's transfer window and has made Noone his top target. Noone has established himself as a key player at Brighton since arriving from Plymouth in December 2010 helping the Seagulls win promotion to the Championship last term. The 24-year-old impressed in this season's Carling Cup clash against Liverpool and a number of clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on Noone. Cardiff have tested Brighton's resolve to hang onto Noone by making an offer for his services as Mackay looks to bolster his squad as he aims to cement their push for promotion. Brighton are reluctant to lose Noone with Gus Poyet keen to keep the winger at the Amex Stadium, but Cardiff are determined to land the player before the close of the transfer window.
