Don Cowie insists Scotland will not be complacent against Liechtenstein following the scare they received against the Group I minnows earlier in the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.
Scotland meet Liechtenstein away from home on Saturday in their penultimate qualifier and must win to remain in with a realistic chance of taking second spot in the group.
Craig Levein's side are overwhelming favourites to claim victory, but Cowie is mindful of the meeting between the two sides at Hampden Park last year.
Liechtenstein took a shock lead in Glasgow just after half-time and, after Kenny Miller had equalised, the Scots had to wait until the seventh minute of injury-time for Stephen McManus to score a dramatic winner.
Cowie is adamant three points in Vaduz are not a 'foregone conclusion' and is hoping Scotland can come away with the result they need.
"The fans remember what happened in the last game at Hampden, it took us until the 97th minute before we got the winner," Cowie.
"We want to get the three points and hopefully we can do that.
"But it is not a foregone conclusion, there are no easy games in international football.
"We will treat Liechtenstein with the respect they deserve."
