Saturday's match-winner suffers groin injury, but could be back within a fortnight

Leicester City have confirmed that Lee Peltier will be out of action for a maximum of two weeks. The defender was taken off with a groin injury during Saturday's opening day win against Coventry, after scoring on his debut. The 24-year-old signed from Huddersfield this summer but is now set for a spell on the sidelines. Eriksson described the extent of Peltier's injury to the club's official website: "The physio thought one to two weeks out, which isn't good - but that's it. "Overall, we have been lucky with injuries, so we shouldn't complain. "I know he has scored some goals but that is not what he is famous for. We have worked on set-pieces very much and he has scored from one which is important." Peltier is one of ten signings made by Leicester this summer as they look to justify their tag as one of the favourites for promotion to the Premier League.

Ideal start

Both Coventry and the Foxes had a player sent off in the first half, but Eriksson says it was an ideal start, adding: "The most important thing was that, as a team, we defended well. "To come here for a local derby and play for a while with ten men as we did, you have to be happy with 1-0. "As a team we defended extremely well. First game, clean sheet, three points - I'm very happy with that."
