Cardiff City have had their winding-up order over an unpaid tax bill to HMRC adjourned for 28 days.

Bluebirds get 28 days to pay off tax bill

Cardiff City have had their winding-up order over an unpaid tax bill to HM Revenue and Customs adjourned for 28 days. The Championship hopefuls were at the High Court on Wednesday morning to face their second winding-up order over reported debts of £2.7million. The Bluebirds were served with the winding-up petition on 23rd December and as yet have failed to agree a compromise. Cardiff have successfully adjourned the winding-up order and they will learn their fate in 28 days The Welsh side could face administration and a 10-point deduction should the winding-up order be made next month if they fail to pay off the debt within the 28-day deadline.
