On-loan Dundee United midfielder Willo Flood has admitted a switch to SPL champions Celtic would be a 'dream move'.

Flood is currently on loan at Tannadice from Cardiff City, and the Tangerines are keen to secure his signature on a permanent basis.

However, Celtic have reportedly entered the race to land his services, and Flood, who is set to face the Hoops in the Co-op Insurance Cup on Wednesday, has conceded the opportunity to sign at Parkhead would be too good to refuse.

Flood said: "If it happens, it's fair to say it would be a dream move for me. Celtic are a huge club, and it is every player's ambition to play at the highest level."

The 23-year-old's agent, Eamonn Collins, told the Daily Record: "Willo is out of contract in the summer and he is open to anything.

"He grew up in Ballyfermot in Dublin and I'm sure, like most people from that part of the world, he would have a strong affinity with Celtic."

United chairman Stephen Thompson admitted: "We've made him a fantastic offer and would love him to stay but in the end he'll make up his own mind."
