Cardiff goalkeeper Neil Alexander has admitted he is 'flattered' to be linked with a move to Norwich.

Alexander is out of contract in the summer and, having already turned down a new deal and reportedly fallen out with boss Dave Jones, appears certain to depart in the summer.

Norwich boss Peter Grant is thought to be a fan of the 29-year-old, and Alexander looks to have paved the way for an approach.

"I am obviously flattered to be linked with a club like Norwich City, but, while I'm under contract at Cardiff, my thoughts are 100 per cent behind them and promotion," he is quoted as saying in The Pink 'Un.

"What will happen in the summer will happen. However, it seems that my future will not be at Cardiff City next season."

Meanwhile, Norwich midfielder Luke Chadwick is facing more time on the sidelines after suffering an injury in training.

"Chadwick has had a bit of a blow," said Grant. "We think he's maybe torn a muscle in his thigh.

"We don't know that so we'll get it scanned."

Chadwick has only recently returned to action for Norwich after four months out with a gashed knee.
