Joe Ledley is relishing the added competition for places at Cardiff.
Bluebirds chief Dave Jones boosted his midfield options in the January transfer window when bringing in Peter Whittingham from Aston Villa and taking Simon Walton and James Simmonds on loan from Charlton Athletic and Chelsea respectively.
Cardiff have won three games on the spin and Ledley says he has no intention of relinquishing his place in the side.
"The gaffer has signed a few players, but I intend to keep the jersey for as long as I can because it could be a long wait to get it back," said Ledley.
Ledley limped out of the 2-0 win over Barnsley on Friday with a knee complaint, but is confident of a swift recovery.
