Kevin McNaughton insists he is on course to make an ahead of schedule return from injury.
The 24-year-old Scot was expected to be out for around seven games, after picking up a hamstring injury at Wolves a couple of weeks ago, but he is now making solid progress.
Confident that he will be able to return to the first team fray in the not too distant future, McNaughton has promised the Ninian Park faithful he will soon make himself available to manger Dave Jones.
"The injury is progressing pretty well but obviously Tuesday's game against Southampton was out," said McNaughton.
"But I'll be pushing for a return after that. When you get back to training you know better about these things, when you're running and stuff."
