Rhys Weston will not be leaving Cardiff City to join arch-rivals Swansea City.
The defender has struggled for form and found himself warming the bench or out of the team altogether last season.
The Wales international limped out of a pre-season friendly at Chamarthen Town and is the only senior player to have been omitted from the side's tour of North America.
"We've had no contact or talks with Rhys Weston at all or at any stage," said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins.
"Any reports that Rhys is about to join Swansea City are total rubbish."
The former Arsenal stopper, who has one year remaining on his Cardiff deal, is keen on regular football to strengthen his international chances.
