Stephen Thomspon has ended his three year Rangers career by joining Cardiff City.
Cardiff City have clinched a deal taking Rangers striker Stephen Thompson to Ninian Park.
The burly centre forward is expected to make his debut against Burnley on Saturday after bringing the curtain down on a three-year stint at Ibrox.
"We wish Stevie all the best down at Cardiff and I would like to thank him for his service to Rangers," said Light Blues boss Alex McLeish.
"He scored some crucial goals for us and was also part of the side that helped us qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League."
Thompson will now spearhead a potent City attack alongside the £3 million-rated Cameron Jerome.
The Paisley-born hit-man scored an impressive 17 goals in 21 starts during his time in the West End of Glasgow after joining Gers from Dundee United in January 2003.
