Cardiff City midfielder Richard Langley has rejoined Queens Park Rangers.

The 25-year-old had been looking for a new club after being told he had no future at Ninian Park, despite having a year remaining on his contract.

Langley trained with Crystal Palace earlier this month but has now signed for the club's Championship rivals.

QPR have forked out a nominal fee to bring Langley back to Loftus Road, where he started his career.

He initially left The R's for Cardiff in a £200,000 deal two years ago but failed to reproduce his best form in South Wales.

R's boss Ian Holloway has always retained an interest in Langley but had expressed fears he would be unable to match the midfielder's wage demands.

An agreement has now been struck, with Langley signing a one-year contract in West London after passing a medical.
