Andy Campbell admits he will in all likelihood have to quit Cardiff City in the summer.

The pacey striker has not started a game for The Bluebirds since January and recently returned to Ninian Park after an ill-fated loan spell with League One outfit Doncaster Rovers.

After helping Cardiff to promotion to The Championship during a loan spell from Middlesbrough, Campbell joined on a permanent basis for £900,000.

However, the player has failed to replicate anything like his top form in the past few seasons and is now ready for a summer switch for regular football.

''I need to play first team football,'' conceded Campbell.

''If that means I have to look elsewhere and take a pay cut, then so be it.''
