Sheffield Wednesday are back in the Championship following a two-year stint in the third tier and will be hoping the promotion momentum established last season carries them through the first few weeks of the new campaign, starting with a trip to Derby County.
The Owls will also face Birmingham City and Millwall in the first month of the season, while September will see them pitched against fellow Championship newcomers Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers and Wolves.
Wednesday supporters will be looking forward to renewing acquaintances with Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, and they welcome the Whites to Hillsborough on 20th October.
A trip to Elland Road is pencilled in for 13th April and derby dates with Barnsley will take place on 15th December, at Oakwell, and 30th March, at Hillsborough.
Over the festive period, the Owls will tackle the two sides that secured promotion alongside them last season, Charlton Athletic and Huddersfield, while Boxing Day takes them to Bolton Wanderers.
Wednesday will be hoping to have consolidated themselves inside the second tier, or be pushing for a return to the top flight, by the time they play host to Middlesbrough on the final day.
