Derby striker to stay with Portsmouth for rest of season

Portsmouth have struck an agreement with Derby to keep striker Chris Maguire on loan at Fratton Park until the end of the season. The Scotland international joined Pompey on a month-long deal on 9th March and has been in fine form over the past few weeks. He has scored two goals in six appearances, leading manager Michael Appleton to pursue an extended agreement. It has now been confirmed that the 23-year-old will remain on the South Coast for the remainder of the Championship campaign. Maguire will be unable to play against parent club Derby on 21st April but will be available for Portsmouth's other five matches as they battle to avoid relegation. Meanwhile, Pompey midfielder Lewis Stockford and full-back Lewis Tallack have extended their loan spells at Totton and Poole respectively.
