Morrison keen to boost Owls

Veteran Sheffield Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison believes he still has a role to play in the club's promotion push.

The 32-year-old, who had a loan spell at MK Dons earlier in the season, made his first start for the Owls since September in Monday's 2-1 win over Tranmere. "I have been trying to get on with my job, get my head down and work hard because football is a squad game and you have to get on with it," he told the club's official website. "The team had been flying while I was away, they had been playing well and scoring goals, so I had to be patient and wait for my turn. "I always believed in my ability to get back into the team. "I enjoy the game, I love playing and I want to do well for Sheffield Wednesday because I haven't achieved the highs that I wanted to since I've been here, but I still feel I have a big part to play."
