Defender believes Owls are growing in confidence

Sheffield Wednesday's loan star Danny Batth has backed Gary Megson to lead the club back into the Championship. The Owls have struggled since suffering relegation from the Premier League in 2000, dropping into the third tier in both 2004 and 2010. Six managers have tried and failed to bring top-flight football back to Hillsborough but Batth feels that former West Brom boss Megson has what it takes to bring success back to the fallen giants. "It is a massive club and the fans turn out every week to support us, so I think that it is only a matter of time before the success comes with it," the 20-year-old defender told skysports.com. "They both tend to go hand in hand and I'm sure that Gary can get this club back where it belongs. "He had his critics at the start of the season when things weren't going our way, but they've quietened down now that we are climbing the table.

Consistency

"We've found our feet as a team now and we are starting to get a bit of consistency as well, so we are just looking to get closer to where we want to be now and everything is coming together for us." Having earned a point from their trip to Charlton on Monday night, the South Yorkshire side welcome league leaders MK Dons to their home turf and Batth is relishing the challenge. "We've built up some good momentum from the Charlton game, so hopefully we can take that into Saturday, in front of our own fans, and come out with three points. "They've had a great start to the season, but we are growing in confidence with every game and tomorrow will show how strong we've become as a side."
