The right-back has returned from a successful loan spell at Bristol City, making 11 appearances for the Championship side and forcing his way into the England Under 21 set-up.
But West Ham boss Avram Grant has recalled the 20-year-old to provide defensive cover for their crucial run-in, with doubts over the fitness of Matthew Upson (dead leg) and James Tomkins (knee).
The rock bottom Hammers, who are currently three points from safety, face fellow strugglers Blackburn and Wigan in their next two games before a final day home date with Sunderland.
