On-loan defender keen to be at Selhurst Park next season
On-loan defender Anthony Gardner has confirmed he wants to agree a permanent contract with Crystal Palace for next season.
Gardner has spent the season on loan at Palace from Hull City and has played a key role in helping the club to preserve their Championship status.
Palace boss Dougie Freedman stated earlier this year that he wanted to keep hold of the 30-year-old, who was initially going to wait until the end of the campaign before deciding his future.
However, the former Tottenham Hotspur centre-half has now revealed that he wants to be part of Freedman's plans at Selhurst Park next season.
"I think it is fair to say I would like to be a Crystal Palace player next year," Gardner told the Croydon Advertiser.
"I'm still a Hull player but I feel like a Crystal Palace player now.
"I've enjoyed every minute of it here, the players, the fans everyone has made me feel at home.
"I'm out of contract at the end of the season and nothing has been decided yet, but I would like to be a Crystal Palace player here next season."
