Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson wants to offer winger Jermaine Johnson a new deal in the summer.
The 30-year-old Jamaica international has been restricted to 27 first-team appearances and has scored only four goals during a season hindered by injury and illness. Megson said: "There are things in Jermaine Johnson's game that you can't improve such as his pace and ability, but he rarely finishes games due to tiredness. "He's out of contract at the end of the season, but he will be offered a contract and we'll see where we go from there." Former Owls manager Brian Laws paid Bradford £500,000 to bring Johnson to Hillsborough in January 2007 and he has made a total of 149 appearances for the club.
