Teenager defender in line to make debut against Middlesbrough
Scunthorpe United have agreed a deal to sign West Ham United youngster Jordan Spence on a month-long loan deal.
Spence has yet to make his first-team debut for the Hammers, but enjoyed a loan spell in League One with Leyton Orient last season.
He has now been offered a move to the Championship and watched Scunthorpe's 3-2 win over Derby County on Saturday.
The deal is expected to be completed on Monday and the 19-year-old defender will be in contention for the game against Middlesbrough 24 hours later.
The England Under 19 international can play at centre-half and right-back, and will provide cover in Nigel Adkins' squad over the next few weeks.
