Football League duo Janos Kovacs and Richard O'Donnell are gaining first-team experience at York City.

Chesterfield defender Kovacs is spending a month with the Conference club, while Sheffield Wednesday keeper O'Donnell is on an open-ended work experience arrangement.

Kovacs had made six appearances for Chesterfield this season, but has been unable to establish himself as a regular in Roy McFarland's plans.

He started York's 0-0 draw with Forest Green Rovers last weekend and was also in the side for the midweek win over Northwich Victoria.

Wednesday youngster O'Donnell has yet to feature under Brian Laws at Hillsborough and has been on the bench for York's last two matches.
