Sheffield Wednesday's on-loan keeper Brad Jones has escaped a ban after winning an appeal for wrongful dismissal.
Jones was sent off last month during The Owls' 1-0 defeat at home to Leeds United in The Championship.
He was shown the red card for bringing down David Healy in the penalty area, with the Northern Ireland international going on to score from the spot kick.
But Owls boss Paul Sturrock was unhappy with referee Steve Bennett's decision and the club appealed on the grounds that Jones had not denied Healy a clear goalscoring opportunity.
The Football Association upheld the appeal and Jones is now free from the one-match suspension he would have been forced to serve.
Jones will now be available for Saturday's game at Southend United, having appeared in all five of The Owls' league fixtures since joining on loan from Middlesbrough.
