Sheffield Wednesday manager Paul Sturrock admits he is interested in obtaining Aberdeen defender Kevin McNaughton's signature.

McNaughton, 23, is admired by a number of Championship sides, and has already received offers for his services from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen and Norwegian club SK Brann.

Sturrock has become the latest boss to express an interest in the free agent from Pittodrie.

"He is one of many I've watched, and one of many on my list," Sturrock told the official Sheffield Wednesday website.

Luton Town boss Mike Newell has also admitted he would like to sign the former Scottish Young Player of the Year, who made more than 200 appearances for The Dons.
