Sheffield Wednesday manager Paul Sturrock will fend off any bids for defender Richard Wood.
The 20-year-old impressed over the season, until his campaign was brought to an abrupt end in February by a groin problem.
Still Woods did enough to attract interest, but Sturrock insists he has no intention of letting his young starlet leave.
"He is turning into a quality player and I'm sure people will make enquiries about him in the summer, but he is going nowhere," Sturrock said.
If anything Sturrock is looking to bolster his defensive options and he is reportedly ready to make a move for Crewe stopper Madjid Bougherra.
The Algerian defender is ready to quit relegated Alexandra and The Owls look likely to compete for his signature.
