Sheffield Wednesday youngster Rory McArdle will spend another month on loan at Rochdale.McArdle has been at Spotland since the start of the season and his stay has been extended until the end of January.
The defender has made 10 appearances for Rochdale after being shipped out of Hillsborough to gain experience.
Rochdale manager Steve Parkin is grateful to be able to keep McArdle after being impressed with the 18-year-old's contribution.
"We are delighted to keep him here for another month especially with Gareth Griffiths picking up an injury," Parkin told the club's official website.
"Rory has slotted in well with the lads in the dressing room and he will give us cover.
"I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Sturrock for allowing us to keep him here."
