Sheffield Wednesday look set to complete the signing of Rotherham's Deon Burton.
It is understood that Millers directors have admitted that they face a losing battle in trying to keep the former Derby County marksman at Millmoor, and Wednesday are reported to have already tabled an offer.
Rotherham will use the cash in an attempt to stabilise their precarious financial position and it is believed that they have already identified a replacement for Burton.
Although the club will not reveal the striker's identity, he will probably join in an initial loan deal as they look to stave off the threat of relegation into the basement of the Football League.
