Owls reject Trundle reports

Sheffield Wednesday have denied reports that they made a bid for Lee Trundle.

Sheffield Wednesday have rejected reports in Friday's newspapers that they made a £475,000 offer for Swansea striker Lee Trundle.

Owls boss Paul Sturrock is keen to bolster his attacking options and, after failing with multiple bids for Wycombe's Nathan Tyson, had been linked with a move for last season's League Two Player of the Year.

Trundle has scored nine goals whilst again proving influential to The Swans in their fantastic season to date, although Wednesday chief executive Kaven Walker insists they are not considering a move for the renowned showman.

"There is no truth in these reports," Walker told the club's official website.

"We had made absolutely no bid for Lee, nor have we enquired about him."
