SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are set to make a move for Nottingham Forest`s out of contract goalkeeper Mark Crossley, according to reports.
The Welsh international has been told by Forest manager David Platt that he will not be getting a new contract at the City Ground, thus ending a 13 year association with the Nottingham club.
New Owls boss Paul Jewell is desperate for a goalkeeper after Czech Republic international Pavel Srnicek told the club he would be leaving them on a Bosman ruling.
This meant that Kevin Pressman was the only senior keeper left at Hillsborough and Jewell will be hoping that Crossley will be persuaded to move to South Yorkshire.
Crossley had been linked with a move to Celtic with Martin O'Neill, who is a long-term admirer of the shot-stopper, but a move in England is likely to be more appealing to the 31-year-old.
