Dons farm out Ibehre to U's

New Colchester boss Joe Dunne has wasted little time making his first signing having snapped up MK Dons' Jabo Ibehre on loan.

Forward Ibehre, 29, has arrived on a three-month deal having found regular first-team football hard to come by with fellow League One side MK Dons. Ibehre, who is able to make his debut at home to Hartlepool this weekend, told the club's official website: "I've settled in magnificently and the lads have made me feel very welcome. "I came into the changing room on Tuesday and knew more players than I anticipated, which was cool. Walking into a new changing room usually feels like it's your first day at school again but I knew a few faces so it was easier to introduce myself. "I was buzzing to come here and play when I heard a couple of weeks ago that there was interest from Colchester. "As a footballer, you just want to play so I was really happy that an opportunity had opened up. Then things changed and I was wondering what was going to happen but finally it was sorted and I'm excited to be here."
