Vincent to fight injury woes

Colchester winger Ashley Vincent insists he is determined to overcome the hamstring injuries hampering his season.

The former Wolves trainee has been luckless this season, overcoming a knee injury at the start of the season only to pull his hamstring in December. As he edged towards a first-team return, Vincent suffered a reoccurrence, this time in a different part of the muscle. "This season has been a non-starter so far, at a time when I really need to be playing regularly. It makes me more determined to come back stronger," he told the Colchester Daily Gazette. Vincent is desperate to return to action and thinks he may be able to return next month to assist the U's finish. "There are still 19 games left this season. I'd like to think I'll be in and around the first-team picture for the last dozen or so."
