Scott takes positives after loss

Rotherham boss Andy Scott was left to console his players after losing in stoppage time against Sheffield United in the JP Trophy.

Alex Revell had cancelled out Chris Porter's first-half opener for Sheffield United, but Ched Evans scored in the sixth minute of time added on to send the Blades through 2-1. "It was cruel way to lose a football match," said Scott. "I thought we were absolutely fantastic, really, really good. We controlled the game for long periods, but were disappointed to concede the first goal from their first shot. "But we created a lot of chances ourselves and deservedly got the equaliser and then had a great chance with eight or nine minutes left. If that had gone in it may have been a different story. "And then we got kicked in the nether regions. But that's the way it goes for us at the moment. We're not getting the results we deserve, but I can take a lot of positives out of it. "We were terrific against a very strong side. They have a great chance of getting to the final, but they'll know they've been in a game."
