Friendly run-out gives Posh boss food for thought ahead of Hull game

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson admits he has some 'big decisions' to make regarding his team selection for Saturday's game against Hull City. Ferguson gave several of his players the chance to catch the eye during a friendly run-out against St Albans on Monday evening. Recent signings Emile Sinclair, Daniel Kearns, Ben Gordon and Josh Thompson lined up for a strong Posh side while fit-again goalkeeper Joe Lewis came through his first match since May unscathed after recovering from a knee injury.

Positives

"There were a lot of positives to come out of the game. The new lads all did well and Joe Lewis was very good," said Ferguson. "He came out for quite a few crosses and his communication was excellent so I have a decision to make there ahead of Saturday. "Emile Sinclair was very strong and powerful. We knew what we were getting when we signed him and I have no doubt he will cause defences problems in the Championship. "Young Daniel Kearns is another good player who showed how well he can do with the ball and also used it intelligently, while Ben Gordon gives me a problem at left-back. "It was also good that Nicky Ajose got himself a goal and came through the 90 minutes fine, so things are shaping up nicely. But I have big decisions to make against Hull because everybody did well."
