Colchester have signed Reading winger Michail Antonio on a month-long loan.
The 21-year-old has been on the fringe of the Royals' first team and made only two league starts last season despite appearing from the substitutes bench 19 times. He has been at the Madejski Stadium since 2008 and is no stranger to loan moves after a previous spell with Southampton. The Us manager John Ward told the club's official website: "He is direct and attacking and has all of the right attributes for the way that we play. "The nice thing is that, although he has been on the edge of getting into a very good Reading team, he has been keen to come here. "We are pleased to have him here and we will see what's what at the end of the first month. We would like him for longer, but it will be reviewed at the end of the month."
