Barrett and Dorman join Palace as Burley also targets Morrison

Crystal Palace have completed the signings of Adam Barrett and Andy Dorman on free transfers. Centre-half Barrett, 31, left Southend this summer after six years at Roots Hall and has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Eagles. Midfielder Dorman, 28, who was also out of contract after leaving St Mirren, has agreed a three-year deal. The duo take George Burley's summer signings to three after the capture of full-back David Wright from Ipswich last week.

A fourth new recruit could be on the way in the shape of Clinton Morrison, who has already had two previous spells at Selhurst Park. The 31-year-old striker, who is the Eagles' fourth highest all-time goalscorer with 113 goals, is a free agent after leaving Coventry at the end of last season. New Palace manager Burley wants to strengthen his attack and admits Morrison is a player who interests him. "We are looking to bring at least another striker in," Burley told the South London Press. "We've got one or two on the radar and Clinton is one of them - but we are looking at one or two other options."
