Veteran stays on as seven not offered fresh terms

Nolberto Solano has signed a new six-month contract at Leicester City, but seven players will not be offered fresh terms at the Walkers Stadium. Former Newcastle United star Solano joined the Foxes in January on a short-term deal and he has made 13 appearances for Nigel Pearson's side. The 35-year-old has now been rewarded for his impact since joining the club with a contract which takes him through the first half of next season. Leicester have also handed midfielder Aman Verma, who has had loan spells at Crewe and Histon this season, a contract extension. However, seven players will not be signing new deals at the club, although one of those is Stephen Clemence, who recently announced his retirement. Billy Kee, who has impressed on loan at Accrington Stanley this season, will be leaving Leicester, along with Astrit Ajdarevic, Robbie Burns, Alex Cisak, Carl Pentney and Levi Porter.
