Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are battling to sign midfield ace Ritchie Jones.
Jones is available on a free transfer after he made it clear to Hartlepool United he wanted to leave Victoria Park.
Now a host of League One clubs are battling to land the former Manchester United youngster.
The 23-year-old is also being chased by clubs from the SPL, but he looks set to remain in England as the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon, Millwall, Plymouth and Colchester look to land his signature.
Jones' agent Peter Morrison confirmed that his client was ready to leave the North East club.
"He has enjoyed his time at Hartlepool but he felt it was right for a change," Morrison told skysports.com.
"He would like to thank everyone at Hartlepool, especially the fans for their support - but he is now ready for a new challenge.
"There are a number of interested clubs, but that is all I can say at the moment."
