Colchester striker Kevin Lisbie will be available for the promotion run-in after his red card against Charlton was overturned.
The Ipswich loanee was given his marching orders after clashing with Addicks skipper Nicky Bailey during Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at The Valley.
He was facing a three-match ban for violent conduct but Colchester have been successful with their appeal.
Aidy Boothroyd will now have Lisbie at his disposal for the crucial games to come and also had a word of praise for the officials.
"The FA and referees get a lot of bad press but a lot of the time it is totally unjustified, and when you get a result like this common sense prevails," said Boothroyd.
