Hendon - Leave Adomah alone

Ian Hendon insists Albert Adomah will not be leaving Barnet on loan after extending Matt Lockwood's spell.

Bees won't let winger go, but extend Lockwood's loan

Ian Hendon insists Albert Adomah will not be leaving Barnet on loan after extending Matt Lockwood's stint at Underhill. Adomah has been attracting interest from clubs in the Championship, with Blackpool having failed in a bid for the winger during the summer transfer window. Plymouth Argyle have recently been linked with an offer for Adomah, who has rejected a new three-year deal at Barnet, but Hendon wants the transfer rumours to stop. Hendon told the club's official website: "Leave him alone. He is doing well and is back in the form that put him in the spotlight and attracted top clubs last year and, if he carries on playing as he is now, he will find himself the right team for his talent.

Ridiculous suggestion

"He is a match-winner and we don't want him to go...he certainly won't be going anywhere on loan. That is a ridiculous suggestion. Leave him alone and the offers will come. "I am sick of people - most probably it is his advisers - rocking the boat and making my job hard creating speculation like this between transfer windows and making ridiculous and inaccurate statements about salaries. "The offer Barnet made was the highest in the club - well in excess of the figure stated in the newspaper story." Meanwhile, Colchester defender Matt Lockwood has extended his loan spell at Barnet until 24th April. The left-back is out of favour at the Weston Homes Community Stadium and is due to be released by the Us at the end of the season.
