Colchester winger Medy Elito has signed a new two-year deal with the League One club.
The 19-year-old has come through the ranks at Colchester and is regarded as an exciting prospect for the future.
He has found opportunities hard to come by this season but believes his future lies at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Elito will be hoping to get more chances to impress following the appointment of Aidy Boothroyd as manager.
"We are really pleased that Medy has decided to pen this contract," chief executive Steve Bradshaw told the club's official website.
