Colchester have completed the loan signing of Ashley Vincent from fellow League One side Cheltenham Town.
The winger will stay with Paul Lambert's men until the end of the season as they look to make a late push for the play-offs.
Vincent is the fifth player to be loaned out in recent weeks as the rock bottom Robins look to slash their wage bill in a bid to avoid slipping into administration.
The U's beat off competition from MK Dons to land the wide man but he is unlikely to make his debut this weekend at Leicester due to a knee injury. The former Wolves trainee is not expected to return to training until next week.
"Ashley is someone I have seen a few times," Lambert told the club's official website.
"He played well against us in both matches with Cheltenham. We need a bit of speed in the team and Ashley gives us that."
