Ashley Vincent is hopeful of sealing a move to Milton Keynes Dons in the next week.
The Cheltenham winger, who is out of contract in the summer, turned down a new deal last month and has already spoken to fellow League One outfit Colchester this week.
Vincent is currently nursing a knee injury, which is not thought to be serious, and is hopeful of securing a loan deal with Roberto Di Matteo's men, which would become permanent in the summer.
"MK Dons are waiting for the radiologist's report on my knee injury, which I have seen and it's all fine and if anything it's a little better than expected," the former Wolves trainee told the Gloucester Citizen.
"So I will be going to talk to them, hopefully later this week and I'm hoping to get something done soon.
"I have a chance to join a side pushing for the Championship and I am obviously happy with the situation."
