Hibs skipper the new target after Williamson rejection
Colchester United have launched a six-figure bid to sign Hibernian captain Rob Jones.
Us manager Paul Lambert has turned his attention to Jones after missing out on Wycombe centre-half Mike Williamson.
Wycombe rejected a six-figure offer for Williamson on Monday, prompting Colchester's bid for Jones.
The 29-year-old, who was the subject of a failed bid from Leeds United 18 months ago, joined Hibs on a free transfer from Grimsby Town in 2006.
He has made over 100 appearances for the SPL club, but is now wanted back in England by League One side Colchester.
