Stoke's new signing Bojan scored his third goal in three games as Mark Hughes side defeated Real Betis 2-0 in their first win of pre-season.

Stoke City continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 victory over Spanish side Real Betis at the Britannia Stadium.

Erik Pieters and Bojan, making his home debut, both scored in the first half in a comfortable success for the Potters.

Pieters opened the scoring on the half-hour when he finished off a well-worked move which involved Bojan and Phil Bardsley.

Former Barcelona forward Bojan then netted his third goal in three games two minutes before the interval when he smashed home a shot from 15 yards.

Mame Diouf and Peter Odemwingie both spurned good opportunities to increase Stoke’s lead, although Betis also had their chances.

The visitors twice hit the upright, while Asmir Begovic was also in good form in the home goal.
